Fifteen (15) hours are required for the minor, including 9 hours of core courses consisting of AFA 2000, AFA 3101, and AFA 3330 or AFA 4240; 3 credit hours of approved Advanced coursework; 3 credit hours of approved supplementary coursework. The approved course list may be found here.
Students must earn a 2.0 or higher GPA in minor coursework, with no grade below C-. Contact the undergraduate Academic Program Specialist for African American Studies for more information.
