Summer Session B is here! As we start the Summer drop/add period, here are several important updates and reminders for you.
Please review the information below, and if you have any questions, be sure to speak with an academic advisor.
Drop/Add Dates and Deadlines
Summer B 2024 Drop/Add opens at 12:01 am EDT on Saturday, June 22nd and will close at 11:59 pm EDT on Thursday, June 27th.
Students taking coursework in the Summer semester who have not registered for at least one (1) credit hour prior to 12:01 am EDT on Monday, June 24th, will be charged a $100 late registration fee. Questions about tuition and fees must be addressed to Student Business Services.
Schedules are final, and students are both grade and fee liable for any courses on their schedule after drop/add ends.
State and FSU Employee Waivers
Graduate students using an FSU or State Employee waiver must register for state fundable courses. Please note that we will not process course swaps after the end of Drop/Add and that students will be held fee liable for their courses.
Here are a few reminders:
1) The waiver is limited to academic courses.
The following courses are ineligible under the State/FSU Employee Tuition Scholarship:
- Remedial math (i.e. MAT1033)
- Applied music
- Graduate courses in the Colleges of Law and Medicine
- Physical Education Activity courses
- Dissertation, thesis, directed individual study (DIS), internship, supervised research, supervised teaching, exam, portfolio, or other one-on-one courses
- Audited courses
- Center for Academic and Professional Development courses
- All non-state funded courses or sections (including some distance learning courses that are funded solely by student tuition and fees)
2) In Student Central, you can use filters to limit searches to just state fundable courses.
On the course search window, select the “Course Attribute” drop-down menu, then select “Course Funding Category”. Then, under “Course Attribute Value”, select “State Fundable.”
