Upper Division Transfer Admissions Checklist
Transfer from a public Florida institution with an Associate of Arts (AA) degree posted with 60+ hours
- Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
- Major prerequisites: Complete any major prerequisites as early as possible, including with any required minimum grades and/or GPA across classes. Your application may be placed on hold if you are currently enrolled in courses required as a major prerequisite. The College’s admissions recommendation may not be rendered until after your official transcript with final grades is received.
- 2.0 minimum GPA. Note that admissions decisions are not based on rounded GPAs, e.g., a 1.999 is not a 2.0. FSU does not honor grade forgiveness.
- A conditional admissions recommendation may be made if you are enrolled in only the courses needed to complete your AA, inclusive of having completed any major prerequisites.
- Submit final transcripts showing your AA degree posted.
Transfer from any private or non-Florida public institution with 52+ hours
- Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
- 3 hours of college level English
- 6 hours of college level English including a 2000 level English is preferred.
- Students are required to take ENC2135 in their first semester at FSU.
- 6 hours of college level Math
- If you have completed only 3 hours of math as required by your institution, you have the option of taking a CLEP exam
