Kope graduated with a B.S. in Economics in 2018, and a M.S. in Applied Economics in 2019.

During her tenure at Florida State, Kope was an intern with the Center for Economic Forecasting and Analysis (CEFA). She was also a member of the Economics Club, and the Specialized Markets and Institutions program with Joseph Calhoun, Ph.D.

In August 2022, she spearheaded a mentorship program for students in the Master’s of Applied Economics Program (MAEP), connecting them with alumni mentors. The program helps MAEP students network and gives them more resources to enter life after graduation with confidence.

“Having an alumni mentor would have eased a lot of worries about entering the workforce and provided insight from someone who previously walked in my shoes,” Kope explains. “It is my goal to pair students with someone outside their desired industry to open their minds to how many opportunities are truly available to them.”

Upon graduating, Kope moved to Tampa and began working for a consulting firm. After two years, she was hired at Citibank within the Capital Planning Organization supporting the RWA Stress Testing and Forecasting. In August 2022, Kope was promoted to Vice President of RWA Cross Asset Analytics, which drives the regulatory reporting and earnings numbers across Citi’s global exposures.

“FSU has given me more than just a great education. It has given me networking opportunities, friendships, and helped me develop my soft skills just as much as my technical skills,” Kope said. “I left college feeling confident that I would make a great addition to any team and that I had the skills to succeed thanks to many great professors and peers.”

Kope’s mentorship is her way of giving back to the Applied Economics program. She thanks Katie Sherron, Ph.D., for her eagerness to implement her idea, as well as all the mentorship program’s inaugural participants.
