The Washington Center is accepting applications for their Spring 2024 Academic Program until November 1.
Through its academic program, The Washington Center (TWC) offers exceptional college students the chance to live and intern in Washington D.C., participate in professional development events, and take classes from industry professionals.
“The program provides our students with the hands-on experience they need to succeed post-graduation,” said Bradley Kile, Ph.D., Campus Liaison for The Washington Center and Director of the Masters in Applied American Politics and Policy at FSU. “The unique combination of classes, internships, and professional development events with the backdrop of Washington D.C., really provides the students with the ability to grow – both professionally and personally.”
The program offers internships for students of all majors with members of Congress, the Department of Justice, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and many more.
Sarah Brophy, FSU Junior studying Political Science, spent the summer interning at the National Legal Aid & Defender Association with the program.
“The Washington Center provided me everything I need to succeed in Washington D.C.,” Brophy said. “Not only are you taught a class by an industry professional, but you are given amazing networking and social opportunities.”
Florida State students participating in TWC’s program can earn credit hours for the class and internships they are participating in.
