The College of Social Sciences and Public Policy offers a wide variety of graduate programs, allowing students to gain expertise in a subject area and expand career opportunities.

Students can choose from master’s, doctoral, and graduate certificate programs, or combine multiple programs.
Master’s programs can be completed as a traditional stand-alone program, or can be completed through a joint pathway or combined pathway program.
Joint pathway programs allows students to earn two master’s degrees or a master’s and a professional degree from two academic degree programs. Students in a joint pathway program complete multiple programs in less time than if they completed each program separately.
Combined pathway programs allow academically talented undergraduate students to take coursework that counts toward both their bachelor’s degree and a master’s in one of six graduate programs. These programs help students finish both degrees faster and with fewer credits than if they completed them separately.
Graduate certificate programs allow students to take courses in an area of specialization and may be completed in conjunction with a master’s or doctoral degree, or can be completed as a stand-alone program.
Students can also apply to one of our six prestigious doctoral programs to become an expert in their field. Many of our doctoral graduates build successful careers in academia, government, and the private sector.
