Brandon Copeland Speaks to FSU Personal Finance Students

Brandon Copeland, former NFL player and founder of Copeland Media, spoke to Florida State University students enrolled in Personal Finance classes on Friday, January 19.

He gave two talks to students enrolled in courses with Joe Calhoun, Ph.D., Director of FSU’s Gus A. Stavros Center for the Advancement of Free Enterprise and Economic Education. One was about personal finance, and the other was about branding.

Copeland was a Linebacker for the NFL for a decade before going on to found Copeland Media, a multifaceted company with the goal of helping people build wealth and improve their brand.

Hosting Copeland is a part of the Stavros Center’s partnership with Robinhood, a stock trading and investing app.

“Because of the corporate sponsorship and financial support from Robinhood, The Stavros Center can offer an extra section of the Personal Finance class and expand our financial wellness program, Unconquered by Debt,” said Dr. Calhoun.

Robinhood’s continued sponsorship will allow the Stavros Center to maintain and expand its activities, including economics workshops, product development, teacher training, and economic research.
