COSSPP Students: Make the Most of Your Time, The Future is Made in Bellamy 

The College of Social Sciences and Public Policy encourages students to get more than a degree during their time at FSU by engaging in a variety of experiences outside the classroom to discover their passions, create lasting connections, and launch a successful career after graduation! 

This year, the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy is raising money for FSU’s 2025 Great Give to support our principle ‘The Future is Made in Bellamy’ initiative. Our Alumni and Friends have given generously to support student’s success and provide them with opportunities that cannot be covered by State of Florida funds.

FSU’s Claude Pepper Center Launches Data Platform to Address Aging Challenges in Florida

Florida State University’s Claude Pepper Center has launched the Translational Data Platform, an innovative digital tool designed to provide interactive maps and dashboards that integrate data on behavior, occupation, health and economy across Florida’s aging populations.

Two COSSPP Faculty Win University Teaching Awards

Two professors from the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy won Florida State 2023-2024 University Teaching Awards. 

Alexandra Cockerham, Ph.D. and Katie Sherron, Ph.D. will be honored at FSU’s Faculty Awards Celebration on April 23, 2024. 

The University Teaching Awards recognize multi-faceted teaching excellence, including serving as a positive role model to students, imparting a respect for truth and a love of learning, challenging students’ thinking and assumptions, demonstrating respect for all persons, and employing innovative instructional techniques.

Recognizing the Pioneering Contributions of Raymond F. Bellamy

Every day, the Bellamy Building at Florida State University welcomes thousands of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Constructed in 1967, this building is home to 16 departments and interdisciplinary programs from the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy (COSSPP).
