The Hispanic Scholarship Fund provides Hispanic college students and graduates with scholarships, career resources, and work opportunities. The fund hosts various professional development summits (Healthcare, Finance, Stem, etc.) and annually selects a cohort of 100 students from over 120,000 applicants to participate in the program.

“I am excited to attend the summit and represent the Noles and COSSPP community in the best way possible,” Riquezes stated.  “COSSPP’s Career Liaison, TJ Johnson, and the FSU Career Center’s mock interview team have prepared me to take the next steps in my career by pursuing internships and figuring out which roles I want to take on.”

Riquezes is involved in the FSU Yoga Club and has served as Treasurer and Vice Chair of the College’s Student Leadership Council (SLC). Starting as the SLC’s Scholarship Committee Chair during her freshman year, Riquezes helped students connect to academic resources offered by the University and COSSPP career services. As Treasurer, she managed and distributed funds for events hosted by the organization. She was recently elected to the position of Vice Chair of the SLC and is excited to see what’s next for her time there.

“The COSS SLC has been such an amazing opportunity for me to grow as a student leader and truly support the college in so many ways,” Riquezes says. “I have had the chance to meet other leaders within and outside of FSU through my involvement and encourage any COSSPP student interested in giving back to the institution to get involved with the Council.”

After graduation, she is looking to work in the field of public relations and to eventually go on to get her master’s in communications or business administration.
