The College of Social Sciences and Public Policy encourages students to get more than a degree during their time at FSU by engaging in a variety of experiences outside the classroom to discover their passions, create lasting connections, and launch a successful career after graduation!
This year, the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy is raising money for FSU’s 2025 Great Give to support our principle ‘The Future is Made in Bellamy’ initiative. Our Alumni and Friends have given generously to support student’s success and provide them with opportunities that cannot be covered by State of Florida funds.
This initiative began under the leadership of Dean Emeritus David Rasmussen, Ph.D., who served as dean of the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy (COSSPP) from 2003 to 2016 and encourages students to actively engage with the world while still at the university, broadening their understanding and focusing their commitment to become agents of positive change.
“Through this initiative, our students excel outside of their regular coursework by engaging with the world community beyond campus,” said Tim Chapin, Ph.D., dean of the College of Social Science and Public Policy. “Students gain unique opportunities for research, service, and experiences that transform their awareness and expand their future life and career options.”
