The College of Social Sciences and Public Policy announced the hiring of Shannon Salvog as its first Post-Award Grants Compliance Analyst.

In this position, she will be responsible for managing post-award contract and grant activities and providing pre-award support to the College.

“We are very excited to add this position, as it is the first of its kind at our college,” Dean of the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy Tim Chapin, Ph.D., said. “Shannon is uniquely qualified for this position that will serve a very important role as our college looks to increase its number of contracts and grants.”

Salvog comes to Florida State University from Vanderbilt University where she served as Post-Award Grants Manager. Before that, she spent 10 years at the University of South Florida in a number of different positions.

Salvog came to academia after a 13-year stint as a paralegal.

After initially receiving a paralegal degree in 2003, she went back to school, receiving a B.S. from USF in 2005 and an M.S. from the University of Pheonix in 2013.

COSSPP faculty are encouraged to connect with our Contracts and Grants Team to get help with finding funding, submitting proposals, and grant management.
