We encourage you to ‘Get More Than A Degree’ during your time at FSU by engaging in a variety of experiences outside the classroom to discover your passions, create lasting connections, and launch a successful career after graduation.
Develop your leadership skills by participating in student organizations and applying for programs, such as COSSPP’s Social Science Scholars.
You can also take advantage of the College’s many professional development opportunities.
Connect with our Career Liaison for support with cover letters, resumes, portfolios, grad school applications, and internships and jobs.
Create lasting connections with fellow students, alumni, and faculty, and gain exposure to thought leaders by attending our College’s many lectures and talks.
Engage in international study and service opportunities; attend conferences and symposia; and connect with an alumni mentor.
Work closely with faculty by engaging in research projects or enrolling in one of our College’s many certificate programs to gain research skills and practical experiences to help you succeed in your future career.
Another great way to ‘Get More Than A Degree’ is to get a jump start on graduate school with one of our 6 joint pathway programs that allow you to earn up to 12 credit hours toward a master’s degree.
FSU also offers an abundance of opportunities for students to learn how to make healthy decisions that facilitate both academic success and life-long wellness, including the Unconquered by Debt program, helping you build financial literacy skills through online modules, in-person workshops, and mentoring.
Your involvement on and off campus is an important part of preparing for a successful career, and I want to encourage you to get the most out of your time at FSU.
The Future is Made in Bellamy.
