The DeVoe L. Moore Institute is an interdisciplinary, applied public policy research and teaching center that examines the role of the private sector in addressing pressing concerns relevant to Florida. The center utilizes a market-oriented lens to analyze, develop, and propose policy recommendations and guidance for policymakers at the state and local levels.
The DeVoe Moore L. Institute was established in 1998 through an endowment by Tallahassee-based entrepreneur DeVoe L. Moore. The Institute supplements its operational funds through grants and individual contributions that support the Institute’s mission and strategic goals. An independent Advisory Board, established in the founding gift agreement, regularly monitors the Institute’s work and progress.
