Biography
Nicholas Brown, Ph.D., earned his doctorate in Economics from Michigan State University in 2022. After receiving his PhD, Dr. Brown spent two years as a postdoc at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He is an econometrician interested in applying the theory of causal inference to social scientific data sets. Specifically, he uses panel data to exploit variation over time and across space to estimate the impact of government policies and natural events on households and firms. He and his wife Danielle share their home with two parrots: a Green-cheeked Conure named Stark and an African Grey named Griffin.
