Biography
Simona Andrei, Ph.D., earned her doctorate in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2009. She is Teaching Faculty I and Assistant Director of the Master’s in Applied Economics Program at Florida State University. Since joining the department in 2022, Dr. Andrei has taught a variety of economics courses at both the undergraduate and Master’s level, including Industrial Organization, Labor Economics, Money and Banking, Programming for Economists, and Applied Microeconomics II. Prior to joining FSU, she worked in economic consulting in the Labor and Employment practice, and she enjoys bringing that industry experience into the classroom. Dr. Andrei also serves as Faculty Advisor to the FSU student chapter of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE).
