PhD Program

The Economics doctoral program at FSU prepares students for a variety of careers in academia, government, and the private sector. Our students work closely with faculty to engage in cutting edge research. Our faculty are especially strong in experimental economics and applied econometrics, including economic history, urban, and public economics. The department also maintains a strong focus on microeconomics and applied microeconomics. Among the fields we offer include: Applied Econometrics, Experimental Economics, Financial and Monetary Economics, Industrial Organization, International Economics, Labor Economics, Law and Economics, Population Economics, Public Economics, and Urban Economics.

Recently, we have placed students at top research universities in both tenure track positions, post docs, and visiting professors.
