32 Full Time Faculty | Active Research Program | Specialized Studies
Economics is a study of human behavior that focuses on decision making under scarcity. The Undergraduate Economics Program prepares students for careers in business, government, and the academy. Students who major or minor in economics learn to use economic models and quantitative analysis to gain a deeper understanding of the world.
Specialized Studies programs are available for students who want to focus on skills that can be quickly put to use on the job, or who are considering graduate studies in economics. Economics is a limited access major, and you can find the requirements here.
We are located on the second floor of the south wing of the Bellamy Building. The Department of Economics is in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy, with 32 full time faculty and an active research program. We also have a Master’s and a PhD program.
