Four students from the College of Social Science and Public Policy (COSSPP) were honored as members of Florida State University’s 2025 Homecoming Court, and two of them were announced as Homecoming Chief and Princess on November 1, 2025.

The Homecoming Court honors outstanding students for their achievements both in and beyond the classroom, while offering them the chance to serve as role models within the FSU community. It’s a prestigious honor that recognizes students for their hard work, leadership, and impact on FSU campus life.

COSSPP students Christian Velazquez (Political Science and Public Health) and Delaney Lento (Political Science) were crowned as Homecoming Chief and Princess by members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Also representing COSSPP on the Homecoming Court were Gabriella Behar (Masters of Applied American Politics & Policy) and Melanie Mitchell (Public Health).

COSSPP is so proud to have such excellent students representing the college. Congratulations to Christian, Delaney, Gabriella, and Melanie! Your achievements inspire the entire COSSPP community.
