
Fifteen students from COSSPP’s International Affairs program were awarded study abroad scholarships to fund their international learning experiences. Study abroad scholarships play a key role in helping International Affairs students pursue academic experiences overseas.
Carl and JoAnn Blackwell Scholarship Fund for International Studies
Three students received the Carl and JoAnn Blackwell Scholarship Fund for International Studies, which is awarded to COSSPP students studying abroad to deepen their understanding for other culture’s language, politics, economic relationships, and dynamics.
The three students awarded this scholarship include:

- Cameron Colabella — Undergraduate
- Josiah Rivette — Undergraduate
Edna Ranck International Study Award
One student received the Edna Ranck International Study Award. This scholarship is awarded to an International Affairs, Asian Studies, Latin American and Caribbean Studies, or Russian and East European Studies major interested in broadening their perspective and understanding of the culture, education, history, politics, language, and geography of another country.

Monica Stokely Memorial Endowment Fund
Three students received the Monica Stokely Memorial Endowment Fund. This scholarship recognizes exceptional International Affairs students and provides support for their study abroad experiences.

Richard B. Gray Scholarship
One student received the Richard B. Gray Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to an International Affairs student that demonstrates exceptional academic performance and ambition to support International Affairs students as they pursue international learning experiences through study abroad.

Shepard Broad Foundation Scholarship Fund for International Studies
Two students received the Shepard Broad Foundation Scholarship Fund for International Studies. This scholarship is awarded to exceptional International Affairs students in support of academic study abroad opportunities.

Stewart L. Brown Scholarship Fund for International Studies
One student received the Stewart L. Brown Scholarship Fund for International Studies. This scholarship is awarded to well-rounded students interested in participating in study abroad.

Thomas and Eileen Culligan Scholarship for International Studies
Five students received the Thomas and Eileen Culligan Scholarship for International Studies. This scholarship supports high‑performing International Affairs students as they pursue academic learning experiences abroad.

Together, these scholarships recognize the academic achievement of International Affairs students and support their participation in study abroad programs. The awards help students apply classroom learning in international settings while gaining firsthand experience abroad. Through these opportunities, students continue to build academic and global perspectives emphasized in the International Affairs program.
