Biography
Originally from Riga, Latvia (formerly part of the USSR), Eman Vovsi, Ph.D., graduated from the Department of History and Philosophy at the Latvian State University. Dr. Vovsi emigrated to the United States in 1992. After working several menial jobs, Dr. Vovsi enrolled in New York University, where he received an Advanced Diploma in Legal Studies in August 1997. Dr. Vovsi worked at several prominent law firms, such as Sherman & Sterling, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP, and others. In 2004, he discovered the scholarship opportunities at the Institute on Napoleon & the French Revolution, Florida State University. Dr. Vovsi received his M.A. in history in August 2006 and his Ph.D. in 2006.
