1. How do I change my major, or add a second major in International Affairs?

2. How can I receive academic credit towards an International Affairs major for an internship
Students wishing to earn major academic credit for an internship must meet the following prerequisites: active, upper division student (earned at least 52 credits), cumulative 3.0 GPA, and instructor approval. In order to obtain the internship application form, contact the Academic Program Specialist (Melanie Presnell mpresnell@fsu.edu).
3. Can courses other than those on the approved course list be applied towards the International Affairs major?
All exceptions and course substitutions must be approved in writing by the Program Director. Students must provide a syllabus and written statement about how the course will contribute to their academic and career goals prior to the start of the semester in which the class is taken.

5. How can I verify my proficiency in a modern foreign language and satisfy the language requirement for an International Affairs major?
Students with no prior experience in their language of choice are not required to take a placement test; they will simply complete the three-semester sequence in the foreign language (2220 or equivalent) . Students who have already started their language sequence at FSU do not need to take a placement test to continue.
