Alumni and Friends

Are you interested in giving back to current Interdisciplinary Social Science students? Our Alumni and Friends are a very important part of student success. There are several ways that you can contribute to the quality progress of our students, faculty, staff, and community.

We welcome you to get connected with various opportunities to support student success and initiatives that align with your interests and values.

Alumni Engagement and Mentorship

One important contribution is your time. Please connect with our Alumni Engagement Coordinator at Elizabeth Jones at ejones11@fsu.edu to discuss opportunities to come back, speak with our students, and other opportunities to serve as a professional mentor, such as through FSU Connect.

Career Services and Support

The College of Social Sciences and Public Policy’s (cosspp) Career Liaison Tyrone ‘TJ’ Johnson (B.S. Interdisciplinary Social Sciences ‘14) offers career exploration and support to new alumni and works with many of our graduates providing resume and cover letter reviews, job search strategies, and other career related guidance. For more information, visit cosspp.fsu.edu/career-advising.

Philanthropic Support

Our Alumni and Friends’ gifts of time and treasure play an essential role in our ability to provide the next generation of leaders with enhanced educational and career advancement opportunities beyond the classroom.

You can give online to our program’s General Development fund at the link above or contact our College’s Senior Director of Development Katherine Cline Ashler at kcline@foundation.fsu.edu or by phone at 850-294-3343 to discuss other opportunities to bring your philanthropic visions to life.
