The PPE minor at FSU is a 15-credit hour minor open to all majors. The minor entails five courses: Introduction to Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (3 hours), one course each from an approved list of Philosophy (3), Political Science (3), and Economics (3) courses, and the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics Capstone course (3 hours). But, PPE is more than a minor. It is an intellectual community with engaged faculty and students who want to combine insights of Economics, Philosophy, and Political Science to develop a comprehensive and principled understanding about topics of importance.
Even if students do not intend to minor in PPE, they are welcome to take the Intro to PPE course, attend speaking events, book clubs, and more. Please see our latest newsletter for important information about how to get involved.
