The PPE program at FSU has its roots in an undergraduate reading group at Florida State University run by the DeVoe Moore Center (DMC).
This group will meet about four times each semester to engage in energetic discussions with undergraduates around a set of readings related to an important area of policy. In the past, reading groups have focused on health, education, and crime. Future reading groups will engage these and new topics like the environment, industrial policy, immigration, the media, and more.
Our hope is that these groups will spark increased interest in the PPE approach and showcase how the combined use of Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics yields insights that cannot be gained by any field alone.
For more information about these reading groups please email danorton@fsu.edu.
Book Clubs
When book clubs resume, information will be posted here. In the meantime, consider one of our PPE Salons where students sign up for the opportunity to participate in a series of afternoon discussions on a particular topic.
