Graduate Funding Opportunities

The program does have funding, but it is limited.

Current FSU Undergraduate Students

Students (who are eligible and meet minimum requirements) may take up to 12 credits of graduate level coursework, while still competing their undergraduate degree. You can use scholarship and bright futures to help pay for these 12 credits.

Criteria: 90 earned hours (30 hours earned at FSU), minimum 3.0 GPA, instructor permission

Assistantships

We do not have the ability to offer many assistantships. Those who are chosen are done so through strict merit-based criteria. Assistantships are normally awarded upon admittance into the program.

Student loans

Most students in this program finance their education through student loans.

State Employees

If you are a state employee, you can enroll up to 6 credits per term, using your state tuition waiver. (Contact your supervisor for more information).

Scholarships

Eric Reading scholarship: Each year a $4000 scholarship is offered to a student within the program who has demonstrated exceptional academic performance and ability.

Study abroad scholarships: Awarded in $1000 increments, these are available for summer or fall study abroad programs.

Students are encouraged to apply to various scholarship opportunities on campus. The Graduate School has several opportunities that students are encouraged to review at: http://www.gradstudies.fsu.edu//Funding-Awards .

Non-Florida Residents (US Residents)

Academic Common Market: The Academic Common Market is a tuition-savings program for college students in 15 Southern Regional Educational Board (SREB) states, who want to pursue degrees that are not offered by their in-state institutions. Students can enroll in out-of-state institutions that offer their degree program and pay the institution’s in-state tuition rates. More than 1,900 undergraduate and graduate programs are available.
