Students minoring in Russian and East European Studies must complete 18 hours of Russian and East European coursework beyond the Liberal Studies requirement (or courses used to satisfy general education requirements for an A.A. degree with a grade of C- or higher in each course).
None of the broader comparative concepts and theories courses will count towards the 18-hour minimum. Students may select freely from all area-specific courses. A maximum of six semester hours of directed individual studies or internship credits may apply to the minor.
The list of area-specific courses can be found here
In addition, each semester, the department publishes an expanded approved course list to include new and special topics courses. For the semester-specific approved course list, please contact the Russian and East European Studies undergraduate Academic Program Specialist.
