Biography
Dr. Ramos is a Teaching Faculty I in the Interdisciplinary Social Science program. She obtained her Ph.D. in Sociology from Duke University.
Dr. Ramos’ research portfolio is diverse and interdisciplinary. Some of her research projects employ network science to understand health inequalities, social-ecological systems, reproducibility in science, collaboration within and between organizations, and networks of beliefs and mental models.
Dr. Ramos’ teaching focuses on computational social science, including social network analysis, agent-based models, big data, and social simulations as novel tools to understand complex social problems through an interdisciplinary approach. Her work centers on empowering students to collect, manage, analyze, and understand data about society using computational techniques.
