Deana Rohlinger

Biography

Deana A. Rohlinger, Ph.D., earned her doctorate in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine in 2004. Dr. Rohlinger is a Professor of Sociology at Florida State University and researches mass media, political participation, and politics in America. She is the author of Abortion Politics, Mass Media, and Social Movements in America (Cambridge University Press 2015) as well as dozens of research articles. Her new book, New Media and American Society, will be published in 2017 by New York University Press. Deana has appeared on numerous radio and TV programs and written commentary for U.S. News & World Report, Fortune, and The American Prospect.
