The American Society of Public Administration’s Founders’ Fellows is a program that recognizes the exceptional accomplishments and potential of the next generation of public servants in both academic and practitioner communities.

The 2025 cohort consists of 27 students who will receive a year-long series of developmental opportunities designed for their professional growth. In existence for 15 years, the Founders’ Fellow program serves as a significant investment in future public service leaders.

“I look forward to engaging with like-minded professionals and contributing to impactful discussions in the field of public administration,” Adonis said. “I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who mentored and guided me along the way in reaching this milestone. I am truly appreciative of the support and encouragement that made this achievement possible.”

In his years at FSU, Adonis has been heavily involved across campus. As an undergraduate student, he was a part of the Renegade Leadership Honor Society and served in Seat #3 on the 75th Student Senate for the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice. In his current graduate career, Adonis serves as the treasurer of the FSU Student Chapter of the International City/County Management Association.

“My time at FSU has prepared me to not give up when hurdles come along, especially when it comes to my career,” Adonis said. “I’ve always believed that local government plays a pivotal role in shaping lives, and I want to be a part of that process by ensuring that policies and programs are effective, equitable, and sustainable.”

After graduating in Spring 2026, Adonis plans to become a city manager to deepen his understanding of the “specific challenges and opportunities facing municipalities in Florida.”
