Five students involved with the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) at FSU attended NABE’s 65th Annual Meeting from October 8 to 10 in Dallas, TX.
This annual event is attended by some of the most prominent economists in the country from academia, the government, and the private sector.
This year’s annual meeting, titled “Beyond the Business Cycle: Adapting to a New Global Paradigm” included session topics such as “Long-Term Labor Market Trends in the Wake of Pandemic-Related Disruptions” and “Dedollarization & Dollar Dominance: A Shift in Global Economic Power?”
“We were able to listen to reputable speakers from academia, the public sector, and the private sector discuss relevant economic issues,” said economics student Ally Kukanza. “We also networked with highly connected individuals in various industries, learning about different career paths in the economics field. One of the highlights of the trips was attending a networking reception in the Federal Reserve of Dallas. The overall experience was invaluable to me and the other members of NABE, and we are all so grateful to the economics department!”
