Sahari Walker – recent Master of Science in Planning (MSP) graduate – just accepted a job offer to become the State Disaster Housing Coordinator at the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM).
“My time at Florida State University has been instrumental in preparing me for the next step in my career with the Florida Division of Emergency Management,” Walker said. “Through the Master of Science in Planning program, I gained technical skills in urban planning but also a deep understanding of the importance of community-based approaches to problem-solving.”

Sarah Vitale, AICP – a two-time FSU alumna (B.S. Interdisciplinary Social Science ‘14; M.S. Planning ’17) – was recently promoted to planning director of the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council (TBRPC).
The TBRPC coordinates planning among local governments in the Tampa Bay region, fostering collaboration and sharing solutions for community development. Since 1962, the organization has assisted with economic development, emergency preparedness, planning and design visualization, and more to assist government, non-profit, and private entities.

Nicholas Rodi – an FSU alumnus [Master of Science in Planning (MSP) ’24] – accepted a full-time position with CDM Smith, a global engineering and construction firm, following his internship.

Emmabella Rudd – a COSSPP alumna (B.S. Public Health ‘22) – graduated with her M.S. in Health and the Public Interest from Georgetown University after completing an internship with the White House as a Policy Intern for the Vice President’s Policy Office.
