Three COSSPP students were awarded travel scholarships to attend the 2023 Population Association of America’s (PAA) Annual Meeting in New Orleans from April 12–15.

Rolando Valdes – COSSPP alumnus and current Master’s student majoring in Demography – currently works full-time for the Florida Department of Transportation as a Data and Legislative Analyst.
Congratulations to all of our upcoming graduates! This year, doctoral graduates will be honored on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 9 a.m., and undergraduate and master’s students will be honored on Saturday, May 6, at 9 a.m. in the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.
The Peter F. McManus Trust awarded a $13,000+ grant to John Taylor, Ph.D., Professor of Sociology and Director of the Center for Demography and Population Health, to analyze pre-intervention risk factors associated with substance use.
