COSSPP Alumni Spotlight: Renee O’Connor

Renee O’Connor – COSSPP alumna and current second-year graduate student majoring in Instructional Learning and Technology Services – recently testified about freedom of expression for educators in Florida in front of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) at the United Nations with the Community Justice Project in Geneva, Switzerland. 

GCC prepares students for the workforce in an increasingly globalized world 

Apply for FSU’s Global Citizenship Certificate (GCC) by attending one of the information sessions hosted by the Center for Global Engagement every week at The Globe or by signing up for an individual advising session.  

By engaging in a combination of academic coursework and intercultural experiences, students gain intercultural communication skills and develop a deeper knowledge of global issues.

COSSPP Alumni Spotlight: Matthew Becker, Ph.D.

Matthew Becker, Ph.D. – a COSSPP alum (B.S. Political Science ‘07 and M.S. International Affairs ‘09) – was fully funded by The U.S. Russia Foundation (USRF) to attend the “Multimedia Methods in Public Scholarship” workshop hosted by the Melikian Center for Russian, Eurasian, and East European Studies at Arizona State University.
