Alumni Spotlight: Michel Hess

Michel Hess – FSU alumnus (B.S. International Affairs and Political Science ’89) – has served as the Senior Advisor for the Cybercrime Office of the Federal Attorney General since 2020. 

This position involves coordinating and leading law enforcement and criminal prosecution at strategic and operational levels nationwide and globally. Hess serves as an advisor to the Attorney General in the development of public-private partnerships, international engagements on improving access to electronic evidence, crime prevention, and managing a justice and cybercrime network of stakeholders.

President of U.N. General Assembly Ponders Climate, Human Rights, and Energy Resources in FSU Visit

The Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) Program will host four speakers in Fall 2024 for the PPE Lecture Series.  

The PPE Lecture Series allows faculty and students to hear about pressing issues from leading academics with an interdisciplinary approach. This Fall 2024 series is a collaboration between the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Institute for Governance and Civics.

The Social Science Scholars Program provides career-accelerating leadership training and experiences to 18 outstanding COSSPP undergraduate students with a major in the College, cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher, participation in on-campus, community, and/or business organizations, and is graduating no sooner than the Fall 2025 Semester.
