Student Spotlight: Jenny Bueno

Jenny Bueno – a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Geography – was awarded a Margaret A. Davidson fellowship from the National Ocean and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) for her accomplishments in marine research. The Margaret A. Davidson Graduate Fellowship is a two-year program that allows graduate students to conduct research with one of the 30 NOAA coastal reserves. The fellowship is named for Margaret A. Davidson, an innovator in coastal management.

Isabella LoBianco – a second-year student majoring in Political Science and Psychology – was selected to serve as the Chief of Staff for Florida State University’s Student Senate for the 2023-2024 Academic Year.

Melbin Theresa Joseph – a second-year Master’s student majoring in Urban and Regional Planning with a specialization in Economic Development and Real Estate – began a planning internship with Tallahassee’s Office of the Mayor in Spring 2024.

A triple major in political science, English, and economics, Chloe Wain chose to attend Florida State University for the variety of scholarship, leadership, and service opportunities available to prepare her for a future in legal public service as a public defender.
