Abigail Archie – a second-year Political Science student – was one of fifteen student fellows selected for the NextGen Pop Undergraduate Program in Population Research.
During her time at Florida State University, Sydney Cole has balanced being a Women’s Swimming and Diving student-athlete, Presidential Scholar, and environmental researcher while honing her leadership skills through a continued commitment to community service and sustainability.
Garret Coleman – a fourth-year student majoring in Economics and Sociology – was elected to serve as the President of Florida State University’s National Association for Business Economics (NABE) for the 2023-2024 school year.
Megan Skowronski – a Florida State Sociology doctoral student and COSSPP alum – recently won the first-place prize at the Institute of Successful Longevity Student Poster Day competition.
Rolando Valdes – COSSPP alumnus and current Master’s student majoring in Demography – currently works full-time for the Florida Department of Transportation as a Data and Legislative Analyst.
Jennifer Lafortune – a third-year student majoring in Public Health – recently received the Florida State University Women’s Student Union’s Resilient Award at their annual Legacy Banquet.
Andrae Silburn – a Master of Public Administration (MPA) student in his final semester – and recipient of the Fulbright Laspau Award was recently recognized by Florida State University’s Office of Graduate Fellowship & Awards, and Graduate School.
Layla Mathews – a third-year student majoring in International Affairs – recently started her second year as a contracts intern with L3Harris Technologies, an aerospace and defense company based in Florida.
Maya Topiwala – a third-year student majoring in International Affairs – spent the summer in Boston, Massachusetts, where she served as the Vice President of Marketing for BookTalk, a social impact nonprofit that connects with Boston’s local book community.
