About the XS/FS Cluster

At XS/FS, we use experimental methods to study how individuals and groups make choices in a variety of situations. Our goals are to gain insights into how decisions are made and to inform policy-making in economics, political science, and business. We invite you to participate in our research by signing up for our subject pool. You can earn a little money, have some fun, and help research at COSSPP!

The XS/FS Research Cluster consists of a diverse group of scholars at Florida State University who use experimental methods to engage in research on a wide range of topics in the Social Sciences. Topics range from how one might design charity silent auctions, to an examination of preferences for voting on redistributive taxation policies, to investigations on how information is transmitted through different structures for social networks.

XS/FS Facilities

We have a dedicated experimental lab housed in the Bellamy building (BEL 040) which has 26 terminals as well as both an in-room monitoring station and a separate monitoring room. The lab is located on the lowest floor of Bellamy, on the south side of the building.
